I am a mother of four children who works diligently & daily to rise above my past and create a path to a successful future for me and my children. I've received a General Equivalent Diploma from Chattanooga Community College in Chattanooga, TN, and earned a diploma in Business Office Administration from UEI College.
My work centers around social justice advocacy,
particularly within the child welfare system, through a combination of direct service, community organizing, and legislative reform.
Equity Justice Consulting (EJC) efforts focus on empowering marginalized communities and supporting individuals navigating complex systems.

+SB 354 (Gavin Newsom signed into Law, October 8th, 2021):
This bill, co-sponsored by Senator Skinner, amends welfare institution codes to facilitate the reunification of formerly incarcerated individuals with their children in foster care. Played a key role in advocating for this legislation and ensuring its passage.
+Riverside City Public Housing Authority (2017): Successfully advocated for policy changes providing youth involved in the juvenile justice system with alternative pathways to make amends and avoid displacement from their families.
+ Riverside Police Department Policy Initiatives: Rerouting of police officers from other counties. Support mechanisms for police officers experiencing personal crises or disciplinary issues. Hiring, Accountability, Equipment and Training
